Ataur Rahman (born 18 June 1941)  is a Bangladeshi stage and television actor, stage director and writer.  He was the forerunner of the post- liberation movement of Bangladesh's liberation war .  In recognition of his contribution to the theater, the government of Bangladesh awarded him the Ekushey Padak of the country's highest civilian honor in 2001 . Rahman was born on 18 June 1941 in Noakhali district of Bengal Presidency (present Bangladesh ) of British India .  His father was a graduate of Presidency College in Kolkata. His mother was also a cultural figure. To his mother he learned to read outside books. His childhood was spent in his uncle's home in Noakhali. He is the first Jules Verne 's Twenty Thousand ligasa Under the Sea was. As well as Rabindranath Tagore's poetry, novels, short stories, Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay Rachanyabali, Bankimchandra Chattopadhyay became acquainted with Rachanbali. Rahman passed the Secondary and Chittagong Higher Secondary from Chittagong Collegiate School .
