Upendrakishore Roy Chowdhury ( May 12 , 1863 - December 20 , 1915 ) is a prominent Bengali child artist, pioneer of Bengali printing press. He was authored by writers, painters, publishers, hobby astronomers, violinists and musicians. He started the sandesh magazine which later he edited his son Sukumar Ray and grandson Satyajit Ray . His immortal creation is Guppy-Gain-Bagha-Bain , Tuntuni , etc.Upendrakishore born on 7 April 1270 BS ( 1863 On 1 May )  in Mymensingh district masuya the village, which is now the country is located. His father, Kalinath Roy, was handsome and well-versed in Arabic, Persian and Sanskrit. His nickname was Shyamsundar Munshi. Third child among eight children of Upendra Kishore Shyamundar His paternal name was Kamtarjanjan Roy .
