Selim Al Deen ( August 18 , 1949 - January 14 , 2008 ) is a renowned Bangladeshi playwright and researcher. He played an important role in the drama movement of independence northern Bangladesh. He has done research on plays and language of drama. The drama drama of Bangla drama, Bangla drama, has highlighted the characteristics of Bengali drama by applying the subject and essays of traditional Bengali plays.Playwright Selim Al Deen was born on 18th August, 1949 in Senerkhil village of Sonagazi thana of Feni . He is the third child of Mofizuddin Ahmed and Firoza Khatun. Feni, Chittagong, Sylhet, Brahmanbaria and Rangpur have spent many years in childhood and adolescence. According to the father's job, he has studied in various schools in these places. Selim Al Dein passed SSC from Mangalkandi Secondary School, Senkhar in Feni, in 1964. HSC from Feni College in 1966 In 1967, he was admitted to the Bangla Department of Dhaka University. While studying in the second year, he was admitted to Sadat College in Kotalia, Tangail, after leaving Dhaka University.
