Shaheen Akhtar ( born February 1962 ) is a Bangladeshi female fiction writer. His famous novels are Talas , and there is no escape route . He received the Bangla Academy Award in 2016 for his contribution to fiction . 

Shaheen was born in 1962 in East Pakistan (present Bangladesh) in Chandina upazila of Comilla district . He passed the Bachelor of Economics from Dhaka University. Later he went to India and there he studied film making. Returned from India to India in 1997. 

His first work in career was the opportunity to create documentary films and to make his film. But it did not happen because of family unwillingness and marriage. Presently Shahin is the editor of the Media and Communication Department of Law and Salis center in Dhaka. 

Returning home from India in 1997, he started composing his first novel to escape . In this book, he describes two women living in the city alone about complexity and struggle. In 2004, he wrote his novel Taalab's novel.  During the Bangladesh War of Liberation, a woman tortured by a woman during a war and post-war history illustrated the painful picture. The book won that year's Prothom-alo award of the year 's book . Some short stories are written by her sister, Amar , with fifteen stories , women's Ekattarara and post-war wounds and love again .  In 2014 he was elected as the Mayur throneWrote the novel. He received the IFIC Bank Literary Award - 2014 for this novel.

শাহীন আখতার (জন্ম ফেব্রুয়ারি, ১৯৬২) হলেন একজন বাংলাদেশী নারী কথাসাহিত্যিক। তাঁর প্রসিদ্ধ উপন্যাসসমূহ হল তালাশ, পালাবার পথ নেই। কথাসাহিত্যে অবদানের জন্য তিনি ২০১৬ সালে বাংলা একাডেমি পুরস্কার লাভ করেন।

শাহীন ১৯৬২ সালে তৎকালীন পূর্ব পাকিস্তানে (বর্তমান বাংলাদেশ) কুমিল্লা জেলার চান্দিনা উপজেলায় জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তিনি ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে অর্থনীতি বিষয়ে স্নাতক পাস করেন। পরবর্তীতে তিনি ভারতে চলে যান এবং সেখানে তিনি চলচ্চিত্র নির্মাণ বিষয়ে পড়াশুনা করেন। ভারত থেকে ১৯৯৭ সালে দেশে ফিরে আসেন।

কর্মজীবনে তার প্রথম কাজ ছিল প্রামাণ্যচিত্র নির্মাণ এবং তাঁর চলচ্চিত্র নির্মাণেরও সুযোগ ছিল। কিন্তু পরিবারের অনিচ্ছা ও বিয়ের কারণে আর তা হয়ে ওঠে নি। বর্তমানে শাহীন ঢাকাস্থ আইন ও শালিস কেন্দ্রের গণমাধ্যম ও যোগাযোগ বিভাগের সম্পাদকের দায়িত্ব পালন করছেন।

১৯৯৭ সালে ভারত থেকে দেশে ফিরে তিনি তার প্রথম উপন্যাস পালাবার পথ নেই রচনা শুরু করেন। এই বইতে তিনি দুজন নারী একা শহরে বাস বিষয়ক জটিলতা ও সংগ্রামের কথা বর্ণনা করেন। ২০০৪ সালে তাঁর রচিত তালাশ উপন্যাস সাড়া ফেলে। বাংলাদেশের স্বাধীনতা যুদ্ধ সময়ে নির্যাতিত এক নারীর যুদ্ধ চলাকালীন ও যুদ্ধোত্তর জীবনের করুণ চিত্র তুলে ধরেন। বইটি সেই বছর প্রথম আলো বর্ষসেরা বইয়ের পুরস্কার লাভ করে। তার লেখা কয়েকটি ছোটগল্প হল বোনের সঙ্গে অমরলোকে, পনেরটি গল্প, নারীর একাত্তর ও যুদ্ধ পরবর্তী ক্ষত কাহিনী ও আবারও প্রেম আসছে। ২০১৪ সালে তিনি ময়ূর সিংহাসন উপন্যাস রচনা করেন। এই উপন্যাসের জন্য তিনি আইএফআইসি ব্যাংক সাহিত্য পুরস্কার - ২০১৪ লাভ করেন।
