Amjad Hossain (born 14 August 1942 ) is a prominent actor, writer and exceptional filmmaker from Bangladesh. His paternal residence, Jamalpur. He came to the movies in 1961, playing the hit day . Later, he concentrated on composing and directing screenplay. His first film directed by the Fire (1967) Later, he was praised by Nayomani (1976), Gulabi Now Train (1978), Bhat Dey (1984). He started his creative life through writing. Through his rhyme, his entry into literary anthology His first poem was printed in the famous country (magazine) . He also wrote for many children, many stories, rhymes and novels. He wrote novels and stories about liberation war. He got his popularity in the 1970s , from his film life , and later got huge popularity with the people of Bangladesh. Amjad Hossain himself also achieved fame by directing the film. She is now run by the train , beautiful , burning from birth , Alata of two paisa , Bhut Dey, a few notable Bengali films.

আমজাদ হোসেন (জন্মঃ ১৪ আগস্ট, ১৯৪২) বাংলাদেশের একজন বিশিষ্ট অভিনেতা, লেখক এবং ব্যতিক্রমধর্মী চলচ্চিত্রকার। তাঁর পৈতৃক নিবাস জামালপুর। তিনি ১৯৬১ সালে হারানো দিন চলচ্চিত্রে অভিনয় দিয়ে চলচ্চিত্রে আগমন করেন। পরে তিনি চিত্রনাট্য রচনা ও পরিচালনায় মনোনিবেশ করেন। তার পরিচালিত প্রথম চলচ্চিত্র আগুন নিয়ে খেলা (১৯৬৭)। পরে তিনি নয়নমনি (১৯৭৬), গোলাপী এখন ট্রেনে (১৯৭৮), ভাত দে (১৯৮৪) দিয়ে প্রশংসিত হন। গোলাপী এখন ট্রেনে ও ভাত দে চলচ্চিত্রের জন্য তিনি শ্রেষ্ঠ পরিচালকের জন্য জাতীয় চলচ্চিত্র পুরস্কার লাভ করেন। শিল্পকলায় অবদানের জন্য বাংলাদেশ সরকার তাকে দেশের সর্বোচ্চ বেসামরিক সম্মান একুশে পদক (১৯৯৩) ও স্বাধীনতা পুরস্কার এ ভূষিত করে। এছাড়া সাহিত্য রচনার জন্য তিনি ১৯৯৩ ও ১৯৯৪ সালে দুইবার অগ্রণী শিশু সাহিত্য পুরস্কার ও ২০০৪ সালে বাংলা একাডেমি পুরস্কার লাভ করেন।

লেখালেখির মাধ্যমেই তাঁর সৃজনশীল জীবন শুরু। ছড়া দিয়ে সাহিত্যের অঙ্গণে তাঁর প্রবেশ। তাঁর প্রথম কবিতা ছাপা হয় বিখ্যাত দেশ (পত্রিকা) পত্রিকায়। ছোটদের জন্যেও তিনি লিখেছেন বহু গল্প, ছড়া এবং উপন্যাস। তিনি বাংলাদেশের মুক্তিযুদ্ধ বিষয়ক উপন্যাস ও গল্প লিখেছেন। ১৯৭০ সালের মুক্তিপ্রাপ্ত তাঁর লেখা চলচ্চিত্র জীবন থেকে নেয়া, পরবর্তীতে বাংলাদেশের মানুষের কাছে বিপুল জনপ্রিয়তা পায়। আমজাদ হোসেন নিজেও চলচ্চিত্র পরিচালনা করে খ্যাতি অর্জন করেন। তাঁর পরিচালিত গোলাপী এখন ট্রেনে, সুন্দরী, জন্ম থেকে জ্বলছি, দুই পয়সার আলতা, ভাত দে কয়েকটি উল্লেখযোগ্য বাংলা চলচ্চিত্র।
