Awarded for Journalism and Literary Work. Sheikh Jalil graduated at the Mymensing Medical College of Bangladesh in the eighties. He descended from a progressive family, that engaged in education, arts and literature. Since early childhood he developed an interest in the written word, and started writing his own stories, poems, features, and reports. He engaged in part time journalism and is currently Bureau Chief of the Weekly Jogajog in Edmonton. As author of multiple books he published in Bangladesh: Shoyllahbile Shalook Phol-Song (2015), Shopnonil.
